Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Morning all.

I met my hubby when I was stationed at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska and he was assigned as my boss. I thought he was very handsome, funny, considerate, and very professional, also I assumed because he was older and out ranked me that he would not be interested.

About 6 months later, he was reassigned to another unit on base. I found out it was his birthday and looked for hours to find a card that could be taken as suggestive or funny (if he wasn't interested)and had a group of folks sign it but made sure I gave it to him. A bunch of us went to the club on Friday night and I am not much of a drinker so I ended up driving him home. We dated for several months after then he was reassigned to Georgia. We spent a year and a lot of vacation time and phone time like that.

I ended up getting out of the A.F. and moving in with him and working on my Masters. He proposed to me at his change of command where he was becoming Squadron Commander.

We dated a total of 6 years an have been married for almost 19.

Not too shabby, thanks - got the parts for making my new grow out coop - welder is coming tomorrow to sort it out. And over yonder?
Just how heavy duty is this new grow out coop that you require a welder?

Things are going well here. I need to get things in order for winter weather though.

was gonna be 1" metal rectangular tubing, but that was not in stock so I'm using some heavy-duty piping thats 1.5" in diameter that was left over from some plumbing that was done a while ago. Using 0.75" metal tubing for strengthening. Its cheaper than using wood, and termites can't have a field-day with metal

Thank goodness winter doesn't exist here - don't miss it one bit!

Sounds like it should defeat the termites. Hopefully it does the same for the other critters. Using sheet metal for the walls?

Partial sheet metal (1ft around lower front / sides, full cover for back and and rest will be mesh / hardware cloth). I'm going for hardware cloth for the floor also - makes cleaning out easier, and the birds will only be using the coop to sleep in. Not a big structure - 3ft x 5ft.
