Don't bother. Save your green stamps. If a deer is hungry enough, or you're growing something they really crave, nothing short of an 8' cyclone fence is gonna keep them out, and I've even seen a buck clear one of them with "air to spare".

I read that if you put tall branches sticking up along your fence line they will steer clear. Anyone try that?

Truthfully, it's as much to keep my greedy little chooks from stuffing their faces as it is to discourage deer. Will it keep all my chickens out? Nope, many of mine fly over the coop just for kicks, but it will help.

I like to keep my big dog out because she tramples everything.
