Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Oh yea, the mere mention of snow here and ALL the bread n milk disappears from every store around for miles!:lau
I've never bought bread and milk for a snowstorm. With a half a cow in the freezer and shelves full of preserved food, why bother? Just fire up the generator and you can eat in style instead of consuming soggy bread.

I quit eating Bass that come from non-moving water, like a pond....the flesh is mushy. River-caught Bass is a different story.
:tongue

Found a great recipe for Carp:
Nail the fish to a pine board, cook over an open flame 'til the flesh is flaky but moist, then throw the fish away & eat the board.
The first fish I ever caught as a little girl was a carp. I was so sad when my dad threw it up on the bank to die!
Heck...I remember when I was a kid, before there were snow days, I had to walk....
:old....what were we talking about again?
When I was a kid school never called out for snow. Older more experienced bus drivers back then. Now the school is too scared of lawsuits so they call off a lot.

Same here! What's up with that!
I bought me an Amish gas stove that don't need electricity so if the power is out I can still cook.
