Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Pond Folk, you are all probably perceptive enough to realize that I could spend my days aimlessly sunning myself on my lily pad midst the muck; however, years ago I formed a marital alliance with a Gypsy girl. She's only 2 generations removed from the caravan, and Travelers must travel. I'm being dragged away from the sanctity of our Pond to visit Spain, Italy, France. We'll be leaving tomorrow afternoon and will return on the 18th. I'll be here for a bit yet, and will say my good byes tomorrow. Have I mentioned that I get anxious over disruption of my routine ?
Ah h g. . . but the Lily pad might get eaten by the ducks if your away too long!

Good news - my English class that is often like teaching a bunch of high schoolers (granted, most of them just graduated, so they really are wet behind the ears), is a really nice group of kids. No ear buds, checking snap chat, eye rolling, or any of those ridiculous things I've encountered in the past. A few even said, "Thank you" when they left. There's hope, my friends, there is hope.

I have noticed less students on their phones at lunch time this year. I don't know if the school changed their policy or not but they usually are allowed to use phones at lunch and it was almost sad last year at lunch it was so dead silent. . . all of them looking at their phones and not interacting with each other at all.

Not meant to be cruel at all. . .apologies in order. . I didn't mean it that way. :hugs I sorry. Was meant to be funny not hurtful. Forgive me?
