I missed reporting for jury duty by a day...that's right, this ordinary, law-abiding citizen was momentarily a fugitive from justice.
In the end, it all worked out fine. I was, however, seriously irritated that I misread the summons. Apparently I'm not the first, and I'm sure they get a ton of excuses, those poor ladies at the front desk, so I opted to go in and just say I messed up. Which I did. They said it was no problem, and just had me pick a new date.
So I guess I no longer have to be looking over my shoulder while running from the law!

John Denver!!! Sunshine on the water looks so lovely!but I'd like to add "Sunshine in Redding, Ca should just go behind some clouds for a while!!" @AmyPaperlady I never thought I'd be wishing for more Humboldt County days! (We lived there 2 years)
Tom and I went to HSU, though we didn't make it up here to see family much during the first couple years of marriage... (Yep, I'm in the county just north of Humboldt! Oregon's just 19 miles away...)
Yes it is. Well I've been trying to sort out a couple of junk piles into metal piles, burn piles, or dumpster. Guess I better get back to it for a bit. Talk to y'all in a while.
