Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Lol, yeah, but I still would have had to something smart a$$.....

Agreed... but no claiming it! :sick :lau

Reminds me when my sister, BIL & I were cleaning out my mom's house after she passed. Who finds mom's vibration toy hidden away? Yeah, me. I showed it to my BIL and somehow managed to ask, with a straight face, what it was. :sick

And then there were four... Came home from work today and DH told me that he found another dead chicken. Hen, of course. (Now I'm down to two hens, and two males.) This last one was found in the driveway, head gone, neck picked clean and some back meat eaten. The only thing I can guess would be hawk. Pretty sure a mink wouldn't chase down a hen out in the open in the middle of the day. There are hawks migrating through. At least I can be sure it wasn't my dog this time. I'm about ready to give up.

On a brighter note, the first week and a half of school have gone well. My students usually have a hard time adjusting to new routines and people. One student I'm with I've had for the last 5 years. In 7th grade now and wants to be more independent. He was working on a work sheet the other day, and I offered to help. He says, "I got this. You drink your tea. Have fun." It just made me laugh. The kid cracks me up sometimes. My other student I have worked with as a sub, but not regularly.

At the house my parents bought when I was about 11 .. .my mom and I were cleaning the bathroom getting ready to move in and opened a drawer and found someone's toys in there!!
I remember asking my mom what it was! She was speechless. Lol.
Why can't I ever find anything good?
Next time you'll find a pot of gold...:fl
