All these pictures and talk of chicks makes me want to try to hatch some. But I will stay strong until we are close to spring here!

If ya lived where I do, you'd all be snookered with the hatching bug, cos the temperatures don't really vary and nor does egg production. Some of ya would have a hatching meltdown

That's a bit personal (I've just got the odd one or two ) But nah, I live at altitude, so things are not too bad. Keeping backyard chickens is very common here, so vaccines are sure important.

Got the girls signed up for 4H again this year, and told J that PaperKid was thinking of doing an animal this year, but we didn't know if we'd be here for fair (ours is the first weekend in August), so didn't think there was a lot of point... I do know that, if this whole deal moves quickly, and Tom has to head that way before the end o the school year, the girls and I would be staying and finishing up, but I don't know that I'd want to stay all the way until fair, especially if we'd finished the school year
