Oh dang!! Dudley got his eye scratched once. Drops were not fun. But it healed perfectly, so hopefully (was it Meatball?) will heal well too.
Dudley runs thru my birds and just ignores them. They part like the Red Sea when he's chasing a rabbit or squirrel. One of my Swedish drakes did try to nip at him once though, so he learned to steer clear of the big ducks! Lol!

No it wasn't Meaty, it was Roo. Meatball's terrified of the chickens & gives 'em a pretty wide berth. Roo & Fang think they ARE chickens & are right in the middle of them.

Do any of ya'll eat butter beans or turnips? Doc put me on a strict diet so I'm trying to learn more about these 2 items and squash. I thought there were lots of different kinds of squash, but the list isn't specific so guess I can eat any types.

PS. You know butter beans don't really have butter in them, right? That's just a mean trick they use to try to get people to eat them. Seriously tho, I hope you can find something you like. allrecipies.com is my go to place for finding out how to cook stuff I'm not familiar with. Good luck!

It's rare we have to wear mended clothes, but we don't have closets full. If all of their clothes are dirty it'll make up one load of wash each, and it's just a regular old washer..Lol
They do have Xboxs and tvs but most were bought as hand-me-downs from friends upgrading...And we make it work!

We're lucky we have a few consignment shops around here that the kids like. Theres never anything for the 9yr old, but they've got lots of cool stuff for the rest of us. Its a lifesaver! I remember growing up being a tall, poor kid. I got one pair of jeans in September & had to wear them all year. They'd be above my ankles by December & in June my mom would finally cut them off & they'd be shorts. It was a nightmare! As a teenager, my friends would take pity on me & give me their old clothes... Another life saver!

I'm not going to get politics here.... I'm just gonna say this as a veteran.
I'm glad I am not a football fan.
It breaks my heart to see the flag being disrespected.
Seriously twist my stomach......I also believe the players have a right.... Maybe even a responsibility to bring awareness to their cause....I just feel there is a million other ways to do it.

Friend of a friends uncle kinda thing.

Sorry friends... Been real busy as you all know.
Got the Rolls running right.... Simple problem really.
There was a blown fuse in the first box. But because it was a battery fuse if you just tested it with s test light it showed good.
I used a ohmmeter and found it.
After installing a new fuse the old Rolls still wouldn't charge.... That was because there old mechanical regulators needed to be replaced polarized.....did it done deal out there..... My buddies been up in Negaunne turned your to be a loose gas cap..... Turned the check engine light on..... He have me a big bag of deer slim Jim smack sausages.... Away I went picked up a pizza on the way home...(a Little Cesar's.... Bestest mostest..... Pretty good pizza for $7).... Watched The Tigers loose there ninth straight..... Kinda glad baseball ends Sunday.... Don't know how many more loses I can take.
But Sunday will be Brad Asmus last day as manager..... He's gonna let Andrew Romine play every position in that game..... It's only been done 4 times in the past.
But Andrew is an awesome utility player and deserves it.
Utility players are necessary but they don't get into the Hall of Fame..... This way he will be in the records books anyways.....

Kinda glad baseball season is coming to an end, too. Just wasn't our year for the Cardinals or Tigers.

Ah... I ain't really scared of poo. It's more the fact of all the bending over bucketing the water out is hard on my back.
I have all the poo jobs around here. Always have always will.
I never really worried about poo germs from critters.it's people germs that I want Kiki s tsssss can for lol I probably should think about it more. .but I wash my hands a LOT I am bad about smoking cigarettes after duck chores without washing hands.
And every pair of shoes I own probably have duck poo on them. . except my work shoes. I am picky about not doing any animal chores in my work cloths or touching them before I go to work.
Well. . I got way off topic there.

I'm just glad I don't smoke.... Especially after duck chores. I always wash my hands before popping any baked good in my mouth though.

Yeah I know..... Tigers could have done great.
I just think with the old man dieing.... It's all about money to the kids..... Every player they traded., (Almost all the good ones) ..... Are having record breaking years.... And they are all gonna be on post season teams....

I have to confess to not keeping up with the news very much; it's depressing and always has a network's spin. So what exactly is it that the players are protesting?
