Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

So, Shade left this morn for work... calls me tonight and says he might have to go back to Murfreesboro for a couple days this week... so I asked if he was working the whole week then, and this is how it went...

Him: Huh? What do you mean?
Me: Well, are you working the whole week through or just part?
Him: Why wouldn't I be working the whole week?
Me: Thanksgiving.
Him: What? When?
Me: Thursday.
Him: That's this week?
Me: Yes. I figured your mom would have told you if she wanted us over.
Him: Oh, yes. She does. But that's this week?
Me: Yep.
Him: Well, crap. Guess I won't be working Thursday then, we gotta go to my parents.
Me: Ya think?
Him: Yeah, they'll be closed Thursday anyways, so I'll have to work Friday and Saturday.

Some days I truly wonder...

Seems like a perfectly normal kinda chat, to me :D

I'm with Chris - don't see the problem. Good morning, Pond Life.

Have to go shopping for 'stuff' for Thanksgiving meal. That'll be fun.

@orrpeople, trust me. I have a list.

Is it just me or is there an inordinate amount of idiocy appearing in threads lately?
No, I've read a few of those threads on which you so bravely comment. I think there has been a dramatic uptick in the number of backyard flock owners, which probably accounts for most of the er, um, interesting questions and comments.

I ain't posted much, so I'm not to blame, this time :D but no, I've not been thread surfing much so I wouldn't know

Do we need to shackle you to your lily pad?
not sure yer fluffy cuffs will restrain Sour :D

No, I'm pretty much behaving. Did suggest that one person should put a candle in the cupcake she was feeding her chicks. Then there was the person with 5 threads on integrating small chicks into an established flock, and the person asking in 4 or more threads whether or not her ducks were Rouens or mallards, and then there was ---------------------------------- :he

Common sense has become an uncommon attribute.
