I googled it, and while I didn't find pictures of pigs under "drop latrines", I did see pictures of pigs in Kroo Bay sewage (Sierra Leone).

did you put your scan tool in rice??

No There are two reasons i haven't put it in rice..... 3 actually.... It's too big... If have to get a fifty pound bag.
It had a dead battery while outside so no power was running through it at all so I'm going with the long slow dry in the sunny window.
And is wide open rice would get in the fans and everything else. It's not sealed up by any means. I don't think any of the circuit boards got wet.... But the screen did..... So i figure I'll let it dry for a long time.... If it doesn't work I'll have to send it in for rebuild i guess slower more than its actually worth now.
These things go obsolete just like computers or smart phones.
