Afternoon...

Anyone on the pond have any Ayam Cemani eggs they'd be willing to sell?  So far none of my eggs from my AC pen have been fertile, though "Soup" is throwing lovely black fibro Olive Eggers with white wing tips!

None here... my cull laid for a bit, then went broody... I'll let you know when they start up again... or the young pullets may start laying before the hens do, lol...

Question for those that know anything about call ducks... how much does the average day old call duckling weigh?

I got an absolutely giant AC egg today. I took a picture of it with a normal AC egg for comparison:

It's got some weird lines from when it was formed, probably because it's so large. I suspect it's a double yolker. I'm going to set it and see what happens.

Looks like one that the shell broke while forming inside and was repaired...

The little duckling is out... Smallest duckling I have hatched at 35 grams.

Smallest I have hatched was 26 grams... out of a 35 gram shipped egg... that girl is one of my faves now...
