Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Good morning, Chris, Sour, WV, Friday and the rest of you Pond Dwellers! Kind of a cloudy, rainy day in the neighborhood today. Hopefully the sun will come out this afternoon so the kidlets can go swimming.

Have a happy!

I just got in from taking care of the birds and found that the keets had attacked the chick that was in with them. It's a nasty wound, the beak has been severely damaged. I've cleaned it up and applied neosporin and tucked it into the incubator with the chick that just hatched today who seems to be enjoying the company.

I'm just not sure if this is something the chick can recover from. I'm fine with making its food a mash, hand feeding it a couple times a day, etc but I don't want to prolong its suffering if it's not going to make it. It seems to be fighting for now, I guess I'll just see how it does and if it seems like it's too much I'll end its suffering.

Yeesh, not a good day today. My parents are also dead set on rehoming the pig. They don't think she's happy here.
Sorry Pyxis :hugs i hope the chick makes a quick recovery, even if it doesnt we all know that you gave it your all

Oh, btw, for anyone wanting to know...

I heard from Turk today!!! :wee

She is doing good, very busy... has about 2/3 of her trailer finished fixed... not many birds, but got them cooped up today properly for the first time since the flood... just wanted to pass on the news and she sends her love!
Thats great news!!

Speak of which wonder why we haven't been haunted since the format change  Reckon he got a newer more transparent sheet and we just can't see him ????
yeah,m miss him :/

Just noticed their behavior toward Ion tonight, so I'll watch more tomorrow. Mainly one other drake was running him away. Later he was alone in the boat, up under the deck and all the others were standing around looking down at him.
Poor little guy :(

My call babies being cute :love

Went out to lock up my miscellaneous 8-week olds, and got this adorable pic. Blue Marans pullet, black copper Marans cockerel, serama in the middle! Same age, the little serama thinks the BCM is his dad! Follows him like a shadow.

Sorry about the chick! Hope she comes around. :fl Sorry about little bacon bit, too.

Things are going well! Crazy busy at work, but that's par for the course. I picked up a dog run on classified last week so I need to get that up for my chickens. Hopefully soon. How are you?

All good here, thanks. Got a 5 day weekend coming up! :woot

Good morning Pondites!

So I heard about a recent study done by, I believe, National Geographic. If you die alone with your dog(s) in the house, said animal(s) will feast on you within the first 24 hours or so. :sick And...that's even if their regular dog food is available. I must say I'm shocked. My plan is to be cremated when I go. I sure as chit don't wanna be, you know, chit.

I would like that! I wish I could just be hauled out in the woods placed on a little "scafold" and the critters have at me.

The state won't allow this
