It's really got me worried. Not only is my daughter in Pensacola, but I have relatives in Homestead and up through Orlando area....Mom is supposed to let me know today if any are evacuating.

Summer here has been a brutal beast - I'm pretty sure we broke records all over the place. Don't get me wrong, it's always hot here in summer - always - it just seemed we had so many days past 110. Torturous on my feathered friends. Thankfully our losses were comparatively small. Local breeder lost whole groups of his birds.
So today it is only going to be 95 and I am seriously taking a sweater to school this morning because it is 74 outside. Wimps, I tell ya, we're silly weather wimps.

My grandmother's name was Irma. . and she was a real B as well. She always hated monkeys for some reason. . . there are a lot of monkeys in Florida aren't there? Maybe it's her trying to eradicate the monkeys!!

Me too, to be honest, but I'd hope it wasn't meant with any malice . Sure, I got a filthy mind but it's all very tongue in cheek silliness. Apologies if my posts do come across as if I'm wearing a grubby old mack - not true (I wash it every week )
