Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Btw, learned something new today. If you're going to send a bird in for necropsy, you can't freeze it. Apparently freezing interferes with the results. Refrigerated for no more than three days before shipment is the requirement (plus packing it with cold packs, form submissions, etc.)

 Really? I've never done it, but always heard that was the right thing to do. :confused:Did you send it to Davis?

Did you know I have a lot of family up in Redding? They've been there since the beginning of time (just starting their 4th generation.) I'm always sympathetic to your weather because I know how wicked hot it gets. Growing up, I spent many a summer on Lake Shasta. Good times & good memories!

:frow Not feeling that great, but still happy as a clam. Doc appointment finally tomorrow.:wee

:ya :hugs :fl

View attachment 1145704 Maggie likes to stand on one foot. I was worried she was hurt when I first saw her do it. But doesn't seem to be. Guess she is just comfortable. :love

Yup, that is a fave resting stance, perfectly normal... :D

Lost your other quote, agree with Chris and others, do what is right for you...

Nope, no freezing... just ask Kathy, she knows all the 'rules' for sending in for necropsy...

Vixyn does that and I thought the same thing.... Too funny! lol
Yes! Her parents were hemming and hawing about whether they could afford it, and they're a very "farm oriented" family, so I just made the chicken suggestion and they were on board! The kid is a funny, bright gal who's great fun to have around anyway, so it was a win-win!
Definitely a win-win!!!

I was planning to send it, but we were headed out for the weekend, so I popped it in the freezer. I think I know the problem, but was hoping for some confirmation. Now I can't send it, but at least I know.
We've been in Redding for 28 years, so we just might know your peeps! I feel like my DH knows everyone. He's the managing engineer for all of the state road projects in Shasta County. Wouldn't want his job, but he meets all kinds of folks.

Guys, I need prayers and support.
I think we have discovered what may be going on with hubs. I'll give more details once we know for sure. But we had a good talk before I went to do barn chores and went over symptoms and he sees it. Next is diagnosis. This is good. But it's a long journey.
You got it!

Determination of the probable cause of a problem is a starting point towards diagnosis. Good luck to your husband, and know that all here are on board with support and prayers.
Thanks Sour! It's been so hard communicating with him all these years. So many odd behaviors, that I didn't know what to call it. I've always known something wasn't connecting and have tried to compensate and referee. But now...I think there's hope. And maybe thru understanding for us all, relationships can heal and be good.
