Well yer local bee man wouldn't get much work round here with such adviceA bunch of honeybees found my feeder last year. I called a local bee man over; he said they wouldn't bother the chickens (he has them himself) & would likely be gone the following day. They were.

bee swarms are benign as long as you dont mess with them. they are busy hunting for a new home and their energy is spent on travel and the safety of their queen. We get swarms that pass thru here (really freaky) & they've stopped a few times to rest for a few hours to a few days. The longest we had a temporary hive here was 5 days. The kids were pretty little & I had chickens & an old, slow moving dog that liked to lay out there... We left them alone & they never bothered anybody, but I was a nervous wreck. Thought they'd never go away.
Just wondering if anyone has ever polled the clam population to determine if they truly are happy. Not feeling that great, but still happy as a clam. Doc appointment finally tomorrow.

Some oysters seem happy - maybe we could extrapolateJust wondering if anyone has ever polled the clam population to determine if they truly are happy.
I've had them swarm my hummingbird feeders before. I haven't been too afraid of them in the past. Our normal honey bees have never been a problem I don't bother them they are such important pollinators. I'm just scared the killer bees will make their way here some day.We get swarms that pass thru here (really freaky) & they've stopped a few times to rest for a few hours to a few days.
