Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I'll have to get a new pic tomorrow, but I found a square baby pool, its vinyl, but has survived a couple winters already. (ok, one or two patches have been done). It has a drain in one corner, but I still have to stick my arm in to open the plug. Hubby dug a ditch and put a piece of pvc under the drain to redirect the water away.

:love :love

Be sure and position the drain the right direction! lol

:duc

OUCH! Is he ok?? :hit :hugs

Hubby bought a cheap siphon with a little metal thingy on one end, and it has a ball that moves. You stick that end in the water and jack it up and down and it starts the sucking action. I use it in the rain barrel. Probably wouldn't work in duck-used water. :sick
Will do!!! Hubs is really excited about the project...And he and Charity are currently building an aviary using the frame from an old trampoline for her pheasants.
It's been a good day today!:D

Thanks! I knew Dudley's Mom would understand. :hugsI don't know what the permanent damage is gonna be. I just got him home with 3 different eye drops, the Cone of Shame, and weeks of follow up appointments to see if the meds are working, if it will rupture, if there's permanent damage, if... if... if....

As soon as we got out of the car, one of those butthole CL's started stalking him. I still don't know if it was her or not, but if she even looks sideways at him again, I'll have a boot with her name on it.

Ah... I ain't really scared of poo. It's more the fact of all the bending over bucketing the water out is hard on my back.
I have all the poo jobs around here. Always have always will.
I never really worried about poo germs from critters.it's people germs that I want Kiki s tsssss can for lol I probably should think about it more. .but I wash my hands a LOT I am bad about smoking cigarettes after duck chores without washing hands.
And every pair of shoes I own probably have duck poo on them. . except my work shoes. I am picky about not doing any animal chores in my work cloths or touching them before I go to work.
Well. . I got way off topic there. :p

Its not really the poo that's the problem. Think of all the duck phalluses that have sunk to the bottom. :sick You do NOT want those in your mouth. :lau
