Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Howdy.....10 degrees F today.
But feels warmer..... No wind.
Got to head back up to town. My wife's new glasses are done.
And then there Fish Fry today..... So probably not a big work day.
Guess I'll just take it easy today.
All this talk about grandbabies.... I find it odd.
I don't really think about Mason not being able blood grandchild.
I know that that's not normal.... But I figure it's because he's been in the family since he was an infant..... And his real dad didn't want anything to do with him.
Mason wanted so bad for Jeremy to adopt him....... Either way hope you all have a wonderful day..... Headed to town now ..... Chow

That’s what my sister said. It’s hay, every other batch has been just fine. No, they weren’t really any fatter than the others.
Any chance of mold in that hay? Just a thought. I know cows can & will eat moldy hay with no ill effects, but it's toxic to horses. Not that ducks will eat their bedding (don't know whether they will or not), but would inhaled mold spores possibly be your problem?

I’ve lost two duckling in the last two days, one yesterday and one today. I’m not real sure what’s going on cause they weren’t squashed and they were both in the exact same position, upside down on their backs with their legs spread. They didn’t show any symptoms either, they were fine and then dead. Do you guys have any suggestions?

how old? I lost some ducklings this year because I forgot to give them their nutritional yeast.

It shouldn’t be moldy, it’s a fresh bale of hay.

A week. I give them parsley, dried or fresh, I found that works better than the yeast..
