Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I never have water freezes up even when it's 30 below.
And my set up keeps the coop clean too.
All the water stays contained so the straw on the floor stays dry.
Can you take a pic of your set up when you have time? I'd like to see.

By the way.... Nobody else give advice! I am right! I have chickens & they are beautiful!!!

:lau:gig:lau Sorry. I had to. :gig:lau:gig
:highfive:
Good job buddy that's exactly what I was trying to say
Best wishes. . . . . . .

A hot bath cant hurt. I've had a few with those symptoms & it very often is a soft shell stuck up there. A hot bath, a little butt message & a lot of patience has usually worked for us. Once we had to use a little vegi oil (please don't let Chris see this post :fl) Just make sure that if you see the soft shell coming out, don't pull it hard it. I hold on to the end of it to encourage it in the right direction & as she tries to poop it comes out little by little. I've had some that looked near death until we got it out & are usually back to normal in a day or two. I'm no expert, but hope this helps.

PS. Mine ALWAYS need a bath on the days I'm busiest. Good luck!!! :hugs :fl
I read every post :plbb olive oil is more palatable, imo ;)

Well, looks like we will put the bird down this evening. We have some other birds to process, so...I'm bummed, but that's the way it goes I suppose.
Bummer! :(
'Fraid not; Mom's people were Wileys, at least all I ever knew about. She was pretty heavy into geneology, & I have all her stuff upstairs; I'll check when I get a chance.

eta: Schmidt was back in there somewhere, too. That's all I know w/o breaking out the records.
Yeah, none of those sound familiar, but I know very little about our ancestry. Mom has done more research over the last couple of years and has discovered some Italian Jewish roots...
