If I'm not mistaking and I'll look it up in a minute.... But I don't think tephlon gases out till 500 degrees......I will look it up....I still used Teflon pans in my house when I had birds. I just made sure they were never in the kitchen when I was cooking. And I was mindful to open a window if I was pan frying something in houses where my kitchen didn't have an exhaust fan.
Yup.... very difficult to achieve unless you burn the pan... or cook it in the oven.If I'm not mistaking and I'll look it up in a minute.... But I don't think tephlon gases out till 500 degrees......I will look it up....
The only problem I've had with heating pad brooders is that occasionally a chick will get itself lodged between the frame and the pad. It's pretty rare for that to happen. Otherwise, I've noticed hundreds of happy chicks with a heating pad.I'm not trying to be a butt.... If people are worried about using heating pads don't do it.... I'm just starting that what I know about tephlon is that it's very stable and isn't supposed to be toxic at temps under 500 degrees.
Also if I had a heating pad that wasn't in good shape it would more likely be a fire or shock danger and would have been thrown away long ago.
If there is a way they will.... SMH.The only problem I've had with heating pad brooders is that occasionally a chick will get itself lodged between the frame and the pad. It's pretty rare for that to happen. Otherwise, I've noticed hundreds of happy chicks with a heating pad.
