Lost a duck today..... Someone hot it with a car.
Thought at first maybe I did..... But can't figure out how I would not see a duck in the middle of the road...... But after looking at it they weren't my tire tracks...... Think someone going to the neighbors garage sale might have hit it?
I don't know..... It's been about a year since I last lost a duck..... Sad.
Love my ducks.

Sorry Phil, that stinks! Good thing we live at the end of a dead end dirt road or all the guineas would be flat by now. They do not move for vehicles!

I think maybe the paper boy did it...... Guess it really doesn't matter at this point.
Letting the ducks have freedom has it's consequences..... Always feel like it's my fault though...... And I'm supposed to protect them.
Sucks.....

Depends where you live. The majority of CA is rural farmland or mountains.

I live in a small private dead end road...... I'm not even sure it wasn't me or the wife that did it....... Looks like the paper boy but when I texted him he said the ducks were all in the fence when he came through.
It's sad..... But can't do anything about it now.
I lose about a duck a year..... Last year I lost two.... The year before I lost none.
The year before I lost three to a dog.
So it's hard to say and I can't get to mad at this point..... I'm sure it was an accident either way.

The duck that I lost today was SNOWBALL.
My favorite oldest and best duck.
She was the only duck that would let me pick her up. And the only duck who would eat right out of my hand.
Now I'm sure you all have lots of ducks that'll do that.... But I don't haven't the time to train them to be like that she was just comfortable with me...... She was the one who lived through two dog attacks.....
