Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I'm so bummed. I lost my only 55 Flowery cockerel to a raccoon attack this morning. I heard a ruckus around 5 AM. It pulled his head through the welded wire and ate it. How it got that close to him, and why he was standing so close to the fence I do not know. But i am quite frustrated, upset, sad... ugh!!!
Stupid raccoons. :hit

:he:he:he :hit

Dense fog... eldest can't fly home tonight.

:thDislike!

I swear this wasn't a male bashing thing. I know you speak 'Irish butter' & would get the right kind. ;)

Yeah.... yeah..... so bad!

They said he can try standby at 6am.

But he has a seat on the 8pm tomorrow night! (And watch that get canceled too)

:hmm:fl:fl:fl:fl

Have you tried frying them with Kerry Gold butter ?

:lau:highfive:

I thought you might be busy making ornaments to sell.

Brrrrr....I came home from hunting last night.
Not feeling well at all.
Fell asleep in my chair...... just now waking up.
Guess I needed the sleep..... but I was freezing the whole time. Got so chilled I couldn't warm up.
Better now.
I did run into another hunter...... first time in like forever. And I wasn't wearing hunters orange. Oh well.
Probably be many years again before I run into another hunter. I digress.....I did t have an orange hat on.

Have one praying Mantis -come to the same place on the bricks near kitchen window.
Always when we are getting freezing temps. I know they don't live that long, so has to be another Mantis. Maybe it's genetic imprint.

This one continued to change position for about 3 weeks (lasting longer than any before).Last time I saw it, was missing a couple legs. The next day no sign of it whatsoever. Will something eat a dead Mantis, or did it go to Mantis heaven?
