It's three... Three licks to the center of a Tootsie roll pop... Every owl knows that....It's almost 2019, and I still have so many unanswered questions!!!! I haven’t found out who let the dogs out...where’s the beef...how to get to Sesame Street... why Dora doesn’t just use Google Maps...Why do all flavors of fruit loops taste exactly the same, or how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop......why eggs are packaged in a flimsy carton, but batteries are secured in plastic that’s tough as nails...what does the fox say... why “abbreviated” is such a long word; or why is there a D in ‘fridge’ but not in refrigerator... why lemon juice is made with artificial flavor yet dish-washing liquid is made with real lemons... why they sterilize the needle for lethal injections... and, why do you have to “put your two cents in” but it’s only a “penny for your thoughts” where’s that extra penny going to... why does The Alphabet Song and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star have the same tune... why did you just try to sing those two previous songs... and just what exactly is Victoria’s secret? and where is Waldo?... Can you hear me now?...and do you really think I am this witty?? ..Not really, I actually got this from a friend.
I love pie birds......Look look look!
I got pie birds for Christmas from my mommy! View attachment 1624471 View attachment 1624472 View attachment 1624473 the ugly duck one is vintage from the 40s.
Not sure if the Orange one is old or not. Probably not. But I love it!
Now that is what I call a reality life.I read the obits, & didn't see my name, so I poured my 1st cup of coffee
Love the animation.
I still do a lot of cutting with a bow saw and a cutting rack.I have a 16" Stihl for the larger stuff. I used a 14" Husqvarna for several years for the smaller stuff, like limbing, but even that was too heavy to suit me. When it died about this time last year, DW bought me a 12" Stihl; I love it!. It's a good bit lighter than the Husky, so I can use it longer before my back starts screaming at me, and it'll outcut the 16".
The 20v saws are pretty good from what I hear, but they aren't designed for what I usually put a saw through. I used one a few years ago, before 20v's, to cut up some limbs for the firepit the DIL & I built (that #2 GS rebuilt 'cause he thought he could do better); underpowered & wouldn't have cut hot butter.
Sounds like a great holiday!So, here’s a bit of a story.
I suppose I would describe myself as an agnostic if put under pressure.
The other people who live here are atheists.
My eldest daughter married a very lovely Catholic polish man.
My youngest daughter is living with Kurdish man who is a Muslim.
Christmas eve was spent with my eldest daughters husbands family who I know well. We went to mass and had a traditional ‘Polish’ Christmas eve.
16 at the dinner table.
Christmas day I went with my eldest to her boyfriends family and their friends. Obviously they don’t celebrate Christmas but being in the UK and aware of the importance of the Christmas festival they had arranged a lunch. No table, or chairs; every one had cushions and sat on the floor.
Both events I really enjoyed. Really welcoming and generous people and they don’t have a lot of spare anything.
A comment from some members of my family when I mentioned what I had done over Christmas; ‘but you’re not religious so why would you go to mass?’ My reply, 'I’m not ignorant either’. There are times that I just want to slap people........
I only got to see one due to flight delays..............I was good, I didn't cook it.Sounds like a great holiday!
Yeah, some people seem to need a good a smack..
Howd you do with the babies?![]()
