To tell you the truth I've never put a chicken in a water bath. In general the chickens here at least avoid water like the plague. I didn't even use a bath for an egg bound hen which is what usually gets recommended.
Warming the leg makes sense but to take any weight off it the water would need to be quite deep.
I don't know FMF, I may try it if all else fails.

You could make a sling for her so that she can sort of just sit in the water... I'll see if I can find some posts on it for ya. Maybe @WVduckchick can help with pics.. she's soaked a couple I believe..

I've got a sling. I made one when Dandy went paralyzed.

If there is no break and no dislocation then rest and exercise to keep everything mobile is what I think she needs.

I was trying to calculate how many evenings this past year I've sat here with a chicken either in or on the nest box beside me.
