Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Awwww, :hugs. Okey dokey, just bored bored bored!!! Feeling much better that's the problem. I want to do stuff, any stuff but right now I'm not even supposed to lift up anything heavy as a jug of milk :barnie and I won't be able to for another 10 days. Then it's "we'll see then" from my doc. Ok, done whining. I see the blessings. I'm grateful, BUT I'm still BORED!!!! :lau
I just got my bandages off at the doctors today.
When I was there they told me they saw no reason for me to do physical therapy.
She paraded me in front of the surgeon.
He said.... Yeah that's the guy who got up right after surgery went to the bathroom and put pants on... And laughed.
Yeah things are good.....I got called into the shop today. Spent 6 hours working on a junk BMW no one else wanted to look at.
What upset me is when it was done they didn't even offer me gas money..... But what ever. Might be a little harder to get me there next time.
I told the wife that's all I really wanted.... Just a few bucks to cover my gas....I mean they charged out $100 an hour..... We have a good relationship but it's still nice to have them offer.....

Today is a good day. DH is finally able to get out in the field and start digging. At least I hope he's digging. He left about 2 hours ago and hasn't called to tell me he's stuck yet. He buried the skid loader twice yesterday. I had to pull him out with the big tractor the second time. (I actually like driving the tractor, but not for that.)

In other news, Ruger has been living up to his name. Saturday morning as DH was getting up, he saw Ruger out on the lawn killing a raccoon. Later in the morning he caught and killed a squirrel, and another one on Sunday. We also found the carcass of an oppossum in his kennel. I know for sure he's killed other coons this spring. And yes - he is up on his shots.
When you said Ruger was behaving like his namesake I hoped he wasn't getting jammed up......:lau

:gig
.Grandpa Dixon had a pair of Greyhounds for hunting rabbits. One would chase then the other would hit it at a 90 degree angle tossing it end over end the other would kill it. Swift shake and that was it. Not much on retrieving though. Thats why Grandpa always rode a horse when he went rabbit hunting.

I used to hunt rabbits all the time....I used a gun:gig

Rah Rah Rah no more pencils, no more books, no more teachers dirty looks :ya:ya
probably way before your time

Plus another goody: Glory glory halleluyah teacher hit me with a ruler, bopped her on the bean with a rotten tangerine and her teeth came marching on.
Ours went something like that but a bit darker.....I would finish it but I might get in trouble

those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end. After HS graduation, I realized I'd rather be in HS than out in the real world  . Kept thinking I should have fudged a few courses so I would have been held back.

I had been double promoted when I was younger, so I was a good year behind the others in my classes and social skills (actually I had none).
I actually could have graduated after 11th grade but I didn't have anything better to do... So I went my senior year and just took all art classes..... Skipped a lot too.... Yup those were the days.

Back from the doc... 5 new meds for the kid....

They kept staring at his oxygen numbers. After giving him an albuterol nebulizer treatment he was right at the cutoff for needing to go to the hospital and being put on oxygen.

Turns out it wasn't just because he mowed and swept the shop without his respirator on.... oh no... . He also got the flu. :th so one of the meds is tamaflu.

That kid!! :barnie
Glad you caught it! Influenza can be bad for people with respiratory issues.

Hooray for no PT! As far as "the shop" is concerned, you'd think they'd show you some appreciation. Just remember - people can only take as much advantage of you as you let them.

Wow! Poor kid :hugs rough on the parent too. Glad they are at least up on what's happening. Maybe now the kid will take his condition a bit more seriously, maybe.

There is such a thing as a Mini Stroke they fade away very quickly leaving no evidence.

Transient ischemic attack or TIA... Grandma had one... didn't affect her memory but I watched her face droop and her words slur.... By the time they got her to the hospital it was gone..... lasted about five minutes.

My episodes happened when my BP was hitting all time highs.... 200+.... I had an episode of Bell's Palsy thats when they found my High blood pressure... I was able to get on to Medi-Cal after that...

Diagnosis was a flair of Shingles inside my ear.... Ve4ry common in Bells... and no I don't have shingles or I haven't had an obvious episode of shingles.

that's what first came to mind too, mini stroke. more common than you would think.
