Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Well. .I would've preferred to have had the wedding lat year. .and the minnow this year.. :gig
But I also didn't want to see her get married only because of the minnow..
They are more stable now than they were a year ago. .so I hope it will be good. I do like him, but he is pretty brainless sometimes.:gig
But aren't all youngins?
I'm brainless sometimes too so I shouldn't judge too harshly.:p
I seem to get brainless after eating baked goods......I must be having a reaction to one of the ingredients!!!!......:gig

:frowFunny how time gets shorter:confused: and to do list get longer. :thThought about you and you's last week . Nephew finished up with his doctorate out there . Came home for a couple of days . Says he is staying in California making his life there . Plans on working for the state in water quality :idunnoI don't expect to see him again , even though he said I would . Been since we buried his dad ,I last saw him that was eight years ago . Good kid though super intelligent well mannered. Hard to believe he belongs to us . Told him I had online acquaintances out there and he would fit right in .Also have cousins in Lompoc . Haven't seen them in years . They are harmless . Well pretty much ;) :lau
I haven't seen much of my family in years.... My mom's side died off long time ago.
My dads side lives in the Detroit area.
But we were never close... And the selfish way they were with me and my brother after my grandma died ... And after my dad died.
Everything that my dad had inherited from my grandpa my uncle came on the day my dads funeral services were and took everything.

So.... Whatever. Guess we were never that close anyways.

Phil! I've been thinking about you! You've had quite a winter/spring up there!
Yeah.... Somewhere around 300" of snow.... Plus I was walking around on snowshoes shoveling all winter with a broken hip.
Got the new one a few weeks ago.... Much better. Even with all the pain from surgery it's a100x better.

Yesterday.... Nice Lake Michigan Smallmouth.
Walleye weren't biting though.
Last year on this same spot same day v we caught 20 large walleye.... This year none.... The rain we had lowered the water temperature 12 degrees and the fish were not biting at all.
And I know I'm wearing sweats and slippers fishing... I'm still not overly comfortable putting pants on the open incision..... Soon.

No chemo isn't a picnic that's for sure.
But it's effective.
I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers...I pray for all of you... Almost every night.
I really feel bad when I fall asleep and forget... But some nights in wiped right out.... Especially lately.
My biggest concern with chemo is the collateral damage to healthy organs & what it'll take to get them back to where they belong.

My brother, who was eaten up with cancer in the lungs, lymph nodes, kidneys & brain, and maybe liver, too, lost his battle yesterday morning. Just 61 in February. Only two of us left now; me & the youngest sister, coming 65
