Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Maybe they live in Equitorial Africa...

Bet the sun DOES shine on those people almost all of the bleeping time.

Here. . We get to see the sun as it skims the mountains and glaciers to the south.... the sun is always to the south

(Yeah, I know that isn't what you meant... but I WANT the sun to shine on me.... )
The thing I noticed when we were there is that the sun doesn't seem to set. It just kind of circles around, it gets darkish for a bit, and then it's light again. But there are so darn many trees, you couldn't see a sunset anyway.
Yep... kid 3 is crazy sensitive .. ...

But he just has this "I am 15 and immortal " complex going on :rant

So he KNOWS if he cuts pushki he has to be all covered up like a mummy first... but did he? NO!

He cut pushki... and yes had long sleeves... but only ONE glove, and nothing over his neck and face!!!

Spouse was threatening to make him quit his job if he does another stupid like that...

I think that is a bad idea... but maybe treating him like the irresponsible child he is and telling his boss to make him wear better gear.... yeah... I am happy to threaten that. :old
Of course he's immortal. He's 15.

Oh, Shaw, it's beautiful! Love those white flowers. What are they?

Evening Ponders!
Thank you for all the birthday wishes everyone. So thoughtful. Yes, it turned out to be a very enjoyable day. Means I'll have to do all the things I didn't get done today and then some tomorrow but it was worth it.
Glad you had a good day, Chicki!

No idea. Just something growing wild.:)

Sorry I'm coming in late just woke up(after napping) a short time ago. But what is
pushki ????

Other people I think call it cow parsnip.

It is a weed, grows wild and quickly... has large leaves... and if you get the juice on you it makes your skin look like you got a bad burn... huge blisters and all.

The oil from the plant stays in your skin and is activated by sunlight... so if you hide in a closet for a month or so after exposure you are fine, but if you go outside while it is still active in your skin you will suddenly erupt in these huge blisters... and yes...they scar.

And you only need to barely touch it to get the oil.... and it quickly penetrates into the skin so it is hard to wash it off quickly enough.

I am immune, as is eldest. Kid 3 is just crazy sensitive to it.

Whaaaaaaat?

Dang! One benefit of the sun only being in the south are the over hour long sunsets and sunrises!!! Even lazy people like me can enjoy them easily!
