Dang! One benefit of the sun only being in the south are the over hour long sunsets and sunrises!!! Even lazy people like me can enjoy them easily!

Al, that’s beautiful! I will amend my statement: I’m the tiny little piece of Alaska that I have seen, there are so darn many trees I don’t see the sun set anyway. It just seems to go around in a circle. I am a prairie dweller - I’m used to being able to see for miles.

Most beloved and stupid son #3 got himself covered in pushki Saturday. So today... I can't force him to go outside to clean up his crap and kill the extra roosters. ... why? Because stupid pushki burns must be hidden from the sun for a month... A MONTH.

And yes... they are all over his face.... but I can't get a round of steroids for him... because that would mess up the allergy appointment we have next week .. so I also don't want to risk sending him outside with a facemask... not sure how sun proof those are.

And kid 1 will NOT kill anything..... just won't. He will gut and clean... won't kill. Kid 4 isn't that great at it... not sure I want to send him by himself.. .. I suppose I could do it.

Ive not encountered that plant but have read about it and seen pics of what it can do.. vicious stuff!
I hope he learns his lesson and dresses better for it from now on!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes everyone. So thoughtful. Yes, it turned out to be a very enjoyable day. Means I'll have to do all the things I didn't get done today and then some tomorrow but it was worth it.

Bit chilly here too this morning, not as chilly as there tho.. it was 60 inside at 6:30, warming up nicely on ita own tho, up to 70 now.

I miss seeing the horizon.. I get to feeling claustrophobic here in this hole on the mountain..

Its been in the 90s all wk. Yesterday i put my 1 wk old quail outside and well after the sun went down they still werent huddled without a brood lamp so theyre off light full time after their first day outside. Our pools the children and i are all great friends

Wednesday we have a custody court hearing, id sure appreciaye any prayers for it. Super nervous, courts having left a long term bad taste in my mouth, should be a no brainer decision in our favor but its Court.

Wednesday is tumro. Geez man the insanity.
