Wow! So, I'm curious... do you need special permits or anything to grow it?

Not in california.... Just cant have more than x amount of plants and I suspect they need to be kept like Phil said... In a secure location...

No.... Just that the plants need to be secure...I suppose it's so that kids don't steal them and sell to other kids... Thing is I live out in the middle of nowhere. And these weren't visible to the public. All that's behind my house is miles and miles of inhabited forest and no way to see these plants except from a helicopter. Who would have thought they would waste their time on a few small plants.
One foot over and they would have been inside the fence...I told him that I wouldn't have them outside the fence anymore.... Problem solved and I'm now a little more clear about what is legal and what isn't.

No it was part of a drug enforcement task force they hit s bunch of people.
I thanked them for doing their job.
And I told the guy I thought legalizing it might help get the cartels out if it.
I know I always get mine from a local grower and think of it now days as more if a cottage industry... Similar to craft beer..... And everything I do now days is legal as I don't ever pay for it....I barter my time and services keeping my friends cars running for his trim that he would normally throw away....I make it into butter.
The cop also ask me way I got rid of my medical card....I explained to him that when Eric Holder was running the Justice department he wanted to used those cards to take away Veterans guns. My Dr told me that by law he couldn't do that but I don't trust the government.

I think of the government as I giant power machine with each individual part wanting to obtain the most power they can no matter what they have to do to get it.
Even if it ruins innocent people lives....
