So here I am... waiting for the kids to roll about in the snow for me.

It sure is nice having big boys. I remember when they were tiny and I was the one rolling about in the snow.. my fingers freezing off. Brrrr

Good Evening, Pond!
Long day today. DH had his follow up with the surgeon at the big hospital (he got a good report), so 3 hours there, 3 1/2 home. Typically it’s a 2 1/2 hour drive, but the roads weren’t great. Wet, heavy snow made for slushy, slippery roads in places. Fortunately only about 1/2 way in either direction. I did get to make a Costco run while there.

Good morning! Rainy day in the forecast - which we need. Apparently CA broke it's old "least rainfall in February" record this year. Hopefully March makes up for it!

Hatching my Silverudd's this season and they are doing terrible. They've always been difficult (malpos, goldilocks w humidity), but this year is worse. I initially used 4 different sources for my bird parents and I don't breed brothers and sisters, but now I'm wondering if I need to infuse some new blood or if the whole lot of them are just too interbred? Frustrating.

I hope you can figure out what’s going on with them!

It went from 70 and sunny yesterday to snow, wind and a high of 36 today. Welcome to early spring in Minnesota! (We have a winter storm warning until 6:00 tomorrow morning. Maybe we’ll have a 2 hour late start! )

Good morning Pond. It's Thursday and report cards are due Monday...going to try to hammer those out today so I can have a stress free weekend! yeah, I just high-fived myself - in the days of Covid, you can never be too careful.

My first chick shipment is on its way here! I don't know whether to be excited or apprehensive.
