Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Good Morning’
It’s a winter wonderland outside my window. The trees are all covered with snow. I will admit, it’s beautiful out there. I can handle anything in March, because I know that warmer weather is just around the corner.

Have a great day, everyone!
I don't mind a March snow storm here, because I know it will not stay for long.

Good morning Pond. It's Thursday and report cards are due Monday...going to try to hammer those out today so I can have a stress free weekend! :highfive: yeah, I just high-fived myself - in the days of Covid, you can never be too careful.

My first chick shipment is on its way here! I don't know whether to be excited or apprehensive.
First EVER in your life chick shipment???

After two beautiful 70 degree days in a row here, I'm sure not wanting to see the 40's here again for a while, but I guess they'll be here tomorrow

Thought about going fishing today, but the engine light came on in my truck yesterday on the way to my radiation treatment; oxygen sensor went south. Going to get it replaced next week.

Hi Bobbi :frow
About your roo. It is most likely he did do the initial damage. If that is the only hen he goes after like that, from what I've learned, it sounds like he has decided for who knows for certain what reason (color, behavior, body appearance, scent, ????) that the poor hen is either a stranger to the flock and does not belong or is unfit to be in his "gene pool" for breeding. If this is the case, given the opportunity, if he is unsuccessful in driving her off, he will kill her. It's just part of his job as protector of his flock and it's future propagation. If this is what you are dealing with, you will not be able to convince him to leave her alone. One of them will have to go, or at the least be permanently separated.

Hello Pond fellows,
Mother nature being her usual spastic here. Tuesday we actually got close to 60o F. I love it when you can work outside with no jacket but still wearing snow boots  Still had around a foot or so of snow cover. Wednesday was high winds, rain and even a thunderstorm. Winds howled all night (only lost power for a short time, folks to the south and east not as lucky). This morning? Snow and more wind with dropping temps. Totally normal.

Got our second round of pandemic pokes today. So far so good. I just hope they don't decide we will need to make this an annual thing.
