Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Wow... no earthly.

Super cool though.

@sourland are you good at guessing?
I'm pretty pleased with them. Even if they aren't great color wise and some are mixed up they're still really nice birds. They were worth the hour drive and extra money to buy them from a small local breeder than a hatchery. Got them as almost a week old and I haven't lost a single one.

Yes! Hot here, not too humid. It’s supposed to hit triple digits today, and high 90s all week.
Our weather headed your direction! We are finally getting lower temps (of course, it'll be lovely while we're gone -mid 80s- and probably back to the valley heat when we return!)

So....

Is it getting better after a day of meds and elevation?

I sure hope so.

Makes ya wonder what ticks lick to get full of so many evil diseases.
Thank you for caring Al :hugsNope, unfortunately not yet (actually it's poofed a bit more) give the drugs another day to kick in before another trip. I've decided that I am never going to try and celebrate another birthday!!! Had huge plans (even saved money for) to go to this huge fleamarket that is held this weekend every year. Tried several years to go but something always came up. This year was all clear and I was ready to go! :barnie So, just in case I was going to try it anyway, this morning my other leg (the one with all the screws and hardware) let me know I must have pulled a muscle with all the hopping around. I did manage to hobble out to the coop to let the girls out at daylight so they could enjoy the early morning before the heat climbed back into record digits again only to find one of my beautiful Buff O's peacefully dead at the bottom of the ramp to the roost bar. :thNo clue why. She was 100% fine yesterday at bedtime. Looked her over. Again, no clue. No sign of waterbelly, bad crop, nada. Everybody else, as far as I can tell, are good except nobody would come down until I removed her body from the coop, then they all trucked out like normal. Since we're expecting record heat today and there is already an air quality advisory I'll have to keep a close I on the rest of them. Anyone heard of any asteroids, tidal waves, UFO's heading for northern Wisconsin? Just checking.

While I am super excited about you heading our direction, you could have left the weather at home. At least this way you shouldn't need the down coat.... :lau

Chicki, I'm sorry you're missing the flea market yet again, and about your bird. It's ridiculously hot here, too. Supposed to be 100 today, and high 90's through Wednesday. Camp starts tomorrow. The kids' cabins don't have AC, but the kitchen and dining hall do. At least we have the lake so they can go swimming in the afternoon to cool off.

Indeed! It took a bit of will-power not to throw that coat into the suitcase! Hopefully you'll still recognize me without it! :gig
