I saw that, but couldn't make out whether or not any vehicles were on the floating slab.Hi Sour! Did you see the story about the ice fisherman in Green Bay floating away? The news said 27 but it was actually 34. That time of year. Got em off their "iceberg" in the middle of the bay with airboats.
I’m not Sour, but I saw it on the news.Hi Sour! Did you see the story about the ice fisherman in Green Bay floating away? The news said 27 but it was actually 34. That time of year. Got em off their "iceberg" in the middle of the bay with airboats.
nope. don't think they were allowing vehicles on the ice yet. Not too much of the bay frozen over yet. They actually weren't that far off shore. what they figured happened was a big ore barg came thru the main channel that caused a wave under the ice that cracked the thinner ice along the shoreline and they were off for a ride before anyone realized they were on the move. There was a brisk wind out of the west (along with a brisk -20ish windchill) since last night which probably helped push them out. News said 27 fishermen but there was actually 34. Nothing but those popup ice fishing things and a lot of gear from what I was told and the rescue guys got everything off. This group was lucky. No fines for vehicles or disappearing ice shanties.I saw that, but couldn't make out whether or not any vehicles were on the floating slab.
