Spent the morning at the dentist office getting my upper implants in.

It was 69 partly sunny today with dropping temperatures on Friday.

Good morning pond. It's 51° and about to start the rain. I found my motivation yesterday. It was beautiful, sunny and 70° so I had to be outside. I completely cleaned out the turkey coop which was long overdue, got all of my chicken breeds seperated, hung a load of laundry out on the line and when I was exhausted from being outside, I came in and finished up about 80 hen saddles lol. Needless to say, I kicked my own butt yesterday! This morning, I tackled the poop boards in the main chicken coop before the rain so that's done. I think I'll be spending the rest of the day working on getting some turkey saddles made and stocked up.

Good Morning, Pond!

It’s a beautiful sunny day, but cold out there. The blizzard that came through on Wednesday brought some cold temperatures with it. It’s 1 out there right now, but is supposed to warm up to the 20’s today. Weekend looks nice - highs in the 30’s.

One of our chickens is going to have to go. DH caught her in the nest box yesterday eating one egg, and found another egg with a peck mark. If he catches her again, her time is up. At least it’s one of the older ones, so we won’t be losing a productive layer.

No school today. We get a long weekend for the President’s Day holiday. Oldest son and family are coming tomorrow so he can help DH put new flooring in my kitchen, dining room and front entry. (It’s payback - DH has helped him with a lot of work in his house.)

“Gently raining with dropping temperatures” does not sound like a good combination. Around here that usually means ice-covered everything until it warms up again.

Last night the dog stayed outside while I was at the gym. At 8:00, it was still in the fifties. It’s currently alternating between hail and snow. Twenty tonight.
