Good Evening, Pond!

I hope you all had an enjoyable and safe Memorial Day weekend. It’s typically graduation weekend here. My student graduated this year, so I know the whole class (all 37 of them). So, I had a few open houses to go. On Sunday night we brought our 6-year old grandson over for a sleepover. He spent the day Monday and helped Grandpa build a new door for one of the chicken runs. He even drew up plans for it:

(I’m pretty sure he’s going to be an engineer.) Grandpa wasn’t able to make the “pointy part” on top work, but he did a good job on the rest of it.

I got a good look at Broody Betty’s brood today. Looks like 3 of each based on comb size and color, leg thickness and size difference in general.

Have a wonderful rest of the week, everyone! Last day of school for me tomorrow, then a minor surgery on Thursday.

Going to be about 90 today. I finally turned on the AC last night.

Candled Broody 2’s eggs last night. They all had veins.
