I honestly don't know, I've only seen a few muscovies set this late and they're always older hens. These are this springs hatch, about March I think and they aren't laying yet anyway

I have never had first year birds lay and incubate eggs.

Yea, I really didn't expect them to pay before next spring. They're so friendly though it's weird! They literally hunt me out.

We greatly enjoyed our muscovy.

We still miss them (dog attacks, followed by eagles...lost them all)

Very smart... you can train them easily, and they love so many food items, definitely not picky eaters!
