Good morning pond! 45° and the birds are chirping! Supposed to get up to 60 today. No rain but everything is still swampy and muddy from the past couple days. I'm taking care of my boss's chickens and cats for the next week while they're on vacation. 3 more weeks till I'm back to work for the season.

Morning Pond, we are still wet mud is here to stay.

Good evening pond, it's cloudy and sprinkling. But on a brighter note, I'm excited because I am getting blue laced red Wyandottes this week. Someone I used to know had them and I was always so jealous. They are gorgeous! I'm only getting three, because if I get too many more than that my husband is going to probably start questioning our marriage I am also getting cayugas. Something else I have always wanted. I may get some prairie BlueBell eggers this week. But really, I'm done bird buying.

Shhhhhh I'm trying over here We're buying our first house and we have a good bit of land. So I'm also getting a couple of cows. But not this year. And I'm serious on that one.

Couple cows or cow and bull ? I grew up on a cattle farm.

I've thought about a cow or two for a pet/calves/dairy. Then a steer to raise up for meat. To be more specific lol. And after about 9-12 months, getting a 2nd steer so we can have a constant supply of yearly beef.
