Stock up on bailing wire and duct tape. and keep wire pliers and two different screwdrivers handy. And a hammer. And the phone number of the local tow service.

That’s a deluxe tool kit right there! Really the most important things are WD40 and duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should, get the WD40. If it moves and it shouldn’t, get out the duct tape!
