Hello everybody! My name is Hope, most people call me ‘Hopey Mae’ or just “Hopey”… I’m located in a small rural town in middle Tennessee. There is a heavy agricultural influence here in Carthage.
I’ve got a small backyard flock of about 15-20 chickens. I’m a victim of the “chicken math” craze. Me and my family are working hard towards homesteading, but being within city limits we’ve had a few snags… Nothing serious though, not enough to deter us.
My goal is to learn and share knowledge about chickens and chicken keeping/breeding. We don’t have any meat birds. I’m not sure I have the heart to cull, but it is still a discussion for the future. I’m truly blessed to have run across this website as it is a wealth of information.

Americaunas
Buff Orpingtons
Cochins (Millie)
Silkies
Satins
Frizzles
Bantams
Polish
Seramas are on the way!
I also have a few TSC birds that I’ve forgotten the name of. Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me, I look forward to getting to know yall!
