I should have known when the New York Times is writing articles saying there is a run on baby chicks the fencing was going to be gone come time to finish my duck paddock. I can’t seem to get any until mid June, at least not the smaller weave. I’m not sure what to do exactly. I can let them out, but I don’t want to be letting the call ducks out all day long without being able to fly yet. Ugh. Anyone else having this problem?

Had a similar issue finding it and the prices on amazon were stupid high

on the top of my pen and covering it in the sides i have some bird netting. Then along the outside of that I have 1/4 inch pvc coated chicken wire fencing on the frame. Zip tied the netting and fencing in places so the ducks won’tget caught in the netting. Netting and fencing On top of one another about 1 to 1.5 feet down at the side of the pen. And will have some more of the chicken wire fencing laid and spiked down along the sides of the pen so that anything digging down will just find pvc coated steel mesh.

andto Reinforce the top so it’s not just netting, I got some mesh fencing that’s meant to keep rabbits and rodents out of gardens and will be covering the top with that to keep opossums and raccoons from trying to get in from the top.
I also randomly have some sheets of tin I’m going to nail to the sides of the pen on the ground to act as a pen wall

improvised a bit with other materials in place of the hardware cloth but want my ducks to be safe as can be
