to be our flock. Then we bot 6 'canau chicks..then i bot 18 pheasant eggs)have 7 in the brooder),then when we went to the feed store (dangerous thing to do) to buy seed potatoes i caught Janet buyin 10 Silver laced Wyandott chicks, then i put 10 eggs from one o' our own girls in the bator last week, and now, one o' our girls is broody with i think 13 eggs under her.
So i'm visitin Janet in the ICU and i'm talkin about our chickens with a friend and Janet still affected by her anestesia speaks up and says.."how did this chicken stuff get so out o' hand ?"

I know how you feel. We started with 5 chicks two years ago, as of right now I'm up to 39 chickens, 19 in the bator and 9 under broodies... it's a sickness. My BFF said I wouldn't be satisfied until I hit 50.

Thanx sc , FK and Jan. From what we're learnin, Janet will be better than ever. She had a quadruple bypass and i guess it won't be long now till she has more energy than me and i won't be able to keep up with her. lol
