Been real busy with christmas and taking care of chickens and work.
down to three chickens lost our pet chicken Newby this morning she was old,
a funny story about her we found her as a homeless chicken, she layed eggs for that summer two years ago,
then she quit and she layed four eggs this summer, she has been through a lot for a chicken,
she survived a dog attack this summer, then she made it through a hurt leg this fall, she was getting old looking but kept on going.
she also quit jumping up on the perches, so we made her a small one she could get up on, And then she got sick and made it through that,
she was a good pet chicken,
so she will always be remembered have really good pics of her,
so this spring I'll be getting more chickens, Keep the cycle going ,

oh thank you this chicken would also follow my grandson around and snatch his food right out of his hand
she is the chicken that I use for my pic,
chickens are fun and I enjoy them while we have them, one good thing about chickens you can always add more.
here in Eastern Washington state the weather is going to get down in the teens at night, and 20's to 30 during the day
it has been mild here this year no snow, and about 40 during the day and 30 at night,
but winter is not over yet, get most of our winters in Jan and Feb,
 
ok great this spring I'll be getting more chicks, will have to figure out how and what I'm going to put them in and where,
last time we had an old aquarium but don't have that anymore, and when they got old enough we put them in a dog kennel until they were old enough to transfer to coup with other chickens
I have only three chickens now lost the old one last night.
so what do you use for chicks?
