Well I gave the Green Network a shot

Good responses. Sorry, I was taking a nap in this heat. I was running my AC too but
I do have flourescent light bulbs.

Nuclear Power - Purely political. People are naturally afraid of them because we
have been programmed to be. Nuclear plants aren't perfect but they are far better
than most. Look at the environmental impacts of a regular oil/coal/NGas plant. They
pump horrible particulates into the air and poison the groundwater.

Nuclear Waste - France and our military reprocesses our fuel dramatically reducing
the waste and environmental damage caused by mining uranium. Our nuclear plants
cannot reprocess due to constraints placed on it by the Carter administration.

I'm no fan of the French but nuclear power seems to be something they got very
right.


There are no easy answers here. I'm just hoping some inventive minds, whether
they be conservative, liberal or otherwise, come up with some new technologies
or make old technologies more cost effective.


Unfortunately, politicians are using global warming and energy issues to devide
us. Corporations and businesses disguised as environmental groups have
take the word "Green" and changed it into a marketing technique.

Yeah, i watched that channel hoping for som new energy saving thing. I watched 2 shows about the worlds greenest homes, and all they showed me was that rocks can be used for passive heating. Well, my dog has been bring in rocks now for 3 yrs. The energy bill hasn't gone down, the house hasn't been extra hot, in fact all thats happened is my Grandma's wheel chair has gotten stuck 20 million times.

My school lets you ride your horse to school, but theres a huge list of shots to do it. The 'save gas, kill grass' is crazy. I like my grass and so do my chicks. GO GREEN NOT RADICAL!
