but I did...there is a guy who parks his rig and truck at the curb near Wal Mart every week end and he has a load of various types of poultry to sell...I would probably have nightmares for the rest of my life if I went to his home and saw where he was raising them...his birds are kind of like that...dirty, broken feathers, sometimes bloody heads, crappy cages...but I stopped...I thought I saw some ducklings...it was hot yesterday and he had chicks and ducklings in glass acquariams in the sun...no food or water...he had rabbits, a sorry looking turkey, some puppies...I was looking at the ducklings and lo and behold, there were three goslings in there with them...the guy came over and I asked what kind of goslings...he proceeded to pick them up by their heads and necks and kind of fling them around to show them to me...holy granny I was having a stroke about that...I scooped up the goslings and said I will take them...as he was getting a box, I noticed five crested ducklings...Rouens...the guy came back and I set the goslings out of my poopy shirt into the box and asked how much for the ducks...he started to reach into the acquariam and grab them by their heads...I said not too kindly, let me pick them out...so I scooped up 5 crested Rouens and set them GENTLY into the box...like I needed any of these...I could not stand him throwing those little geese around or the thoughts of what might happen to them if someone bought them for the kids or dinner or if he had to take them home...bottom line, I have to Pomeranians and one more White Chinses gosling...and five crested Rouens...one of the poms is bigger than the other and I have named him Pompom and the other is Missus P...I am running out of names so the little White Chinese is just "China." I will never stop there again...I can't afford to and the entire display just makes me sick...Pompom likes to snuggle under my chin and be carried about...I am smitten...
