The babies are 6 months old! And all of them are growing bigger each day!
Hercules (light Brahma cockerel):
Here he was as a tiny little fuzzy butt.
And here's the big boy at 6 months! He's HUGE, and still filling out!
Ginger (Red Sexlink pullet):
Here's boisterous Ginger as a chicklet,
And here she is as a lovely 6 month old pullet,
Alice (light Brahma pullet) as week-old chick,
And here she is now,
Elphaba (black Australorp pullet):
Week-old,
6 months,
Dorthy (barred Dominique pullet):
Chick,
Now,
(Horrible, horrible photo, I know. She's always difficult to capture on photo.)
Big Betty (Delaware pullet):
Chick,
Now,
(Also a horrible photo, my apologies.)
Big Betty is now the tiniest pullet in the coop! But she's just as feisty.
The Marans! The cockerel's name is Mort, but the pullet still does not have a name:
Chicks (Mort left, pullet right),
Mort,
(Another terrible picture..)
The pullet,
She's the watchdog of the flock, and boy is she HUGE. Check out those drumsticks!!
Mulan (black Sexlink pullet):
Chick,
6 month old,
(I'll try to get a full-body picture of her tomorrow. She hardly ever gets near the camera!)
Buttercup (gold Sexlink pullet):
Chick,
Now,
(Clear photo coming tomorrow)
This bird is so friendly! She loves people, and follows me around the farm like a puppy. She loves helping with chores, but normally just gets in the way (of course, we don't tell her that, for fear of offending her). She also has a great talent for photo-bombing--
And the Production reds! I picked out three sexed chicks, females, but ended up getting a cockerel in the bunch. Yes, that's my luck.
So, here's Ruby, Penny and Scarlet as chicklets.
And here they are now!
Ruby (look at her comb! We'll be getting eggs from her soon!),
