I've been gone along time from BYC.... Since then, in the last year or so, we have had many changes.
I imagine after so long, few, if any, BYCers, will remember me...but that's ok.
To update quickly, I left long ago, because my youngest, then 15 months old, was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.
Soon after, we had to move, I had to disperse my flock of jersey giants (all non hatchery stock that took YEARS to develope), and we moved in with my very sick parents, to be their care takers, and to continue to care for our son and 5 other children.
My parents both passed away last year, and our son is now on hospice with not much time left....
We have also since moved to a new home. Luckily, I have been able to have a small flock of chickens again, to help me have something positive to do during this terrible time in our lives.
So....that's why Ive been gone in a nut shell. I am now slowly trying to reach out and slowly move forward. Please forgive me if I do not answer messages, I won't be able to get on often as my son takes most of my time (as he should).
