Well, I went to the Ms State Fair today. Thousands, I tell you thousands out there spending like no problem. Buying Icee drinks for 4 dollars a small cup and lined up to get it. The gas prices have dropped to 2.94 over here. We went to a resturaunt to eat lunch and it was packed. I don't think if we were in a depression people would be spending and going and eating out. I remember when Carter was President the interest to buy a house was 15 to 18%. The interest on the house I currently live in is 4.75%. I am not saying we are not expriencing recession which has happened before but we have not reached depression levels. As many have said previously, I will trust my life and families life to the Lord. He has never failed me yet and in 57 years I have seen some ups and downs. Fear will cause Panic mode Just be wise.

Confused some as well. I will just have to wait and see like everyone else for the changes to be made to free us from such a sad time.

I wish I started ahead better this summer with a garden. Only having a few tomato plants and lettuce there was nothing to freeze and save. Next year I will be ready.... I have the seeds stock piled and I know I will survive. I just REALLY hope I have enough to share with my neighbors and family!

WHICH MEANS... I need more chickens!!!!!!!!!

(P.S. - can we not get religious with all this, its about economic times and a man made idea of economy and politics)

Thanks. I came across some good words and wanted to share them here. They seemed relevant.:

"When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle." -- Edmund Burke (This is the real version of "
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.")

"The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men." -- Plato

"The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing." -- Albert Einstein
