(Well-meaning) human predators in the chicken run, Oh No!

Pics
@AmyJane725 just start your own post on the social forum; 27 yr old single, crotchety, chicken-lovin' female looking to meet gentlemen with similar attributes. I'd love to see you find love on BYC it would make for a great feature story. Good luck!

I think you would need to juice it up a bit. Like;

27 yr old single, feisty, chicken-lovin' broody female looking to meet gentlemen rooster with sweet appealing chicken mating dance.

Too much? I don't know. You might get more responses than desired. Just saying....

Plus, with you going to them, that will address the situation right away before any problems arise with anything. You'll also get your point across to kids and adults so there shouldn't be anything taken the wrong way or any words added, intentionally or unintentionally.

Good point. I would not want any misunderstandings.

Just reading and laughing... this is probably one of the best threads I've ever had the pleasure of reading!

You know, the subject matter was a serious question and I got many great responses. But I too enjoyed the disgressions into humour. It was a very rainy day here and I spent too much time on the BYC forums! Glad you enjoyed the conversations.

FIPS.
I live in a tourist belt too.

@aart, what is FIPS? Not familiar with that. Would like to have a witty response, but too dumb to know what you said.

Yes, I live in a (not) very high tourist belt. Here in northern Minnesota we have all 4 seasons to enjoy: We have winter, June, July and August. Or, as some locals will tell you, we only have 3 months of bad ice.

Ffffffabulous Illinois/Indiana People.
Probably more common along the shores of our Great Lake Michigan than Northern Minnesota.
I'm not in the thick of it, South Havens population winter vs summer is 5k vs 100k,
but it does have an impact in my little podunk town 15mi from the lake.

My little podunk town has a winter population of about 15,000, and double that in the summer time as visitors come for fishing, camping, and enjoying the outdoors. I live on a lake and my property is part of what used to be a lakeside resort. There are 5 of us that live out here in "the hood" year round. In the summertime, we have as many as 30 people out here, most of them coming and going as the cabins are family owned, and shared.

What! I don't want people mocking me in my door! No way! :barnie
Lol! That's fixed now.
knocking at my door to announce their arrival would be nice, but I'm not always home.
Exactly, and in that case, they should leave and check back another time but definitely should not be accessing your chicken yard or any other part of your property.
