Well so it begins (coop build)

Then no need to change the window hinges.

Will the light be controlled by a timer to simulate daylight hours?
That could get tricky.
It wasn't JT.
To start the light will be controlled kinda via remote, aka my daughter, just like the old tv days lol. I have 2 remote controllers I’m going to add, that I use for Xmas lights, they have a key fob like idea, I haven’t tested the range yet. So won’t be programmed but can be used from my bedroom window is my theory. We are always up around day break, our Shepard mix is on a school schedule he has to be out by 7am, to use the bathroom. We always let the dogs out around dusk, for their nighttime walk, so should stay on a good chicky schedule. The Shepherd stays on a 200 ft runner, he loves to take off, and can’t reach the coop area by a good 30ft.

I will be getting a programmer of some kind in the future, to have everything, almost automatic.

@aart

Just wanted to tell you I did the roof today, after thinking it over and reading your suggestions, i diagonally split some 2x4s and now the roof has roughly a 4in from top to bottom slant. Didn’t get the metal on, but only lacking one wall, paint and the metal and she is done. Got dark so no pictures today.

Here is some updates pictures with the babies in the coop, and my fur ball Maltese, that thinks they are his babies. Electric fence going up this weekend, waiting on amazon to deliver the wire eventually. Building a feeder currently ( a JT model ), so using some large dog bowls for now.
