i also agree with them. but whos to say that the dog wont get them again assuming you're getting more chickens. talk to him about restraining that dog first and then you can enjoy your chickens

If you enjoyed your chickens then start working on a good secure pen. Check this forum or Craigslist. I've seen everything from chicks to POL pullets listed. If you want to explode into chickeness get and incubator and run wild!!!!

If it were me, I would work out in my mind what I considered a fair price. I would then talk to my neighbour and when the subject came up, I would then ask him what HE thought HE should pay.
I would also ask what measures HE was going to take to ensure it does not happen again.
