I put down my little one eyed crossbeak. Finally admitted to myself it wasn't in her best interest to let nature take it's course. She was going to starve and dehydrate to death and had no chance at any kind of decent life. So I manned up and put her down. It was a bit of baptism, by fire but chicken keeping isn't all fuzzy butts and mealworms, better to face that now rather than later. My other 25 look great and hopefully will continue eating, pooping and running about for a good long time.

So sorry :( any loss is hard. Especially when you have to take matters into your own hands.

I'm so sorry. I have a little cross beak Salmon Faverolle right now and I am so afraid that's in my future too but I have seen enough posts on this forum that I just can't give up yet. I need to give her a bit because she's doing so well and is actually my largest chick.

RIP to your little one. :(
